Services and Assistance

Harbor Haven Community Services, also referred to as HHCS, is a faith based community service organization. HHCS is not currently recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. HHCS does not represent contributions made directly to HHCS as tax deductible charitable contributions. Individuals and organizations should consult a qualified tax professional regarding the tax treatment of any contribution.

HHCS provides community outreach, essential needs assistance when resources are available, resource navigation, referrals, veteran support, and connections to community service providers. Services are subject to available resources, staffing, program requirements, and individual circumstances. Contacting HHCS, submitting an assistance request, or receiving a referral does not guarantee housing, shelter placement, financial assistance, transportation, healthcare, benefits, employment, veteran benefits, or acceptance into any program.

Contributions

Faith Based Services

Financial contributions help support HHCS outreach activities, essential supplies, resource navigation, veteran support, operational needs, and other activities consistent with our mission. HHCS is not currently recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and does not represent contributions made directly to HHCS as tax deductible charitable contributions. Contributions may be processed through third party payment providers subject to their own terms, privacy practices, and processing requirements.

HHCS is a faith-based organization guided by principles of compassion, dignity, service, and love for others. Prayer, spiritual encouragement, or faith-based support may be offered when welcomed. Participation in prayer or other religious activities is not required to request or receive basic assistance from HHCS.

External Organizations and Resources

Veterans Resources

HHCS provides veteran focused resource navigation and may help veterans identify and connect with VA programs, veteran service organizations, housing resources, healthcare, benefits assistance, employment services, and other community resources. HHCS is not the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and is not affiliated with or authorized to act on behalf of the VA unless expressly stated otherwise. Eligibility and benefits are determined by the appropriate agency or service provider.

HHCS may provide information, links, or referrals to government agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, housing programs, veteran organizations, and other community service providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these organizations operate independently from HHCS. HHCS does not control their eligibility requirements, availability, funding, policies, operating hours, decisions, or services. Visitors should verify current information directly with each provider.
